Emeritus Professor Edwin Thumboo is widely regarded as Singapore’s unofficial poet laureate. In this interview, Prof Thumboo reveals the creative process behind his poems and how he built up his extensive collection of books and manuscripts, which he has been donating to the library since 2006.
