Abstract
Text of speech by Dr. C. Boden Kloss, President of the Malayan Branch of the Royal Society Asiastic, who presented the bust of Raffles; as well as the speech by Professor B. Schrieke. He spoke on the influence of Raffles' administration on Java. Frontispiece is a bust of Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, presented to the "Koninklijk Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen" (Royal Batavia Society of Arts and Sciences) by Mr. Boden Klosson on behalf of the Malayan Branch of the Royal Asiastic Society at the Public Meeting of the Board of the Royal Society of Arts and Sciences on 23rd December, 1929.
