Abstract
The King of Scotland's daughter is treacherously accused of infidelity to her fiance in this tale of trickery, betrayal, mistaken identity and sexual jealousy. The range of the characters' feelings is captured in music of extraordinary emotional power, even by Handel's own exalted standards. The inclusion of well-integrated dance sequences, choreographed by Michael Keegan-Dolan, adds to the heady brew.
