Abstract
Pahang natives Damak, Deli and their mother arrive at Mersing to earn an honest living from the coastal town's bountiful land. Damak meets Sri Mersing, the beautiful daughter of local farmer Pak Malau, and they fall in love. However, the Mersing Chief's son, Awang Sulong, is smitten with Sri and plots to marry her himself. He devises a plan to separate Damak and Sri by kidnapping her one night and framing Damak for the crime, even though it was Damak and Deli that saved her. He claims credit for Sri's rescue and as an expression of gratitude, Pak Malau bethrothes his daughter to him. In defiance, Sri escapes on her wedding night to Damak, unleashing a violent confrontation between the Chief's henchmen and Damak and his family.
