Abstract
"After the death of his wife at childbirth, Kharis is haunted by nightmares and has to deal with problems with his daughter who appears to have been possessed by an angry spirit; he is driven by desperation to seek advice from a Malay shaman (Bomoh) who warns him his dead spouse is trying to claim their daughter from beyond the grave. It is ambiguous whether the spirit is real, or whether it is Kharis' guilty conscience causing him to have nightmares. Effective score and tight editing underscore this supernatural thriller that relates a father's attempt to save his daughter from harm"--Back cover.
