Katong Convent in 1980s would not be Katong Convent without the ubiquitous, cheerful and active Sister Josephine. I remembered her leading us in songs and hymns in the school hall. I looked forward to my Speech and Drama classes every Saturday morning. I recalled reading prose passages of Miendert De jong’s ‘House of a Sixty Fathers’- literature came alive her because of her, Miss Aileen Lau (who once acted as the eponymous Emily in the play ‘Emily of Emerald Hill’ by Stella Kon) and of course Mrs Marie Bong. “Memories collected from the School Reunion Contest held from July 15 to 9 Aug 2012 in collaboration with SPH and sponsored by Singapore Flyer.”
