In 2020, China unveiled the idea of developing its economy by relying mainly on its domestic market while at the same time seeking the support of the global market, with the two markets reinforcing each other. In the context of the unprecedented changes taking place in the world, this strategy, widely known as dual circulation, aims to form a new development pattern with a view to resolving the long-standing issues facing China, such as unbalanced development and overcapacity.
