Abstract
Three separate stories set and shot in Rome, Paris and London portraying juvenile delinquents in post-war Europe and suggesting something of the aimlessness and moral confusion of this generation. French and English censors banned the part of the film dealing with their respective country, while the Rome episode displeased the Italians by depicting their youngsters as neo-Facists and had to be modified to gain financing. In the French episode a group of high school students kill one of their colleagues for his money. In the Italian episode a university student is involved in smuggling cigarettes. In the English episode a lazy poet finds the body of a woman on the downs, and tries to sell his story to the press.
