Abstract
French naturalists have played an important role in the study of natural history in Singapore, including the earliest known collecting expedition. This rich history is brought to life in a book to be published by the Lee Kong Chian Museum with contributions from writers and researchers based in France and Singapore. The book details the historical aspects of the French contribution to Singapore⁰́₉s natural history and the materials from Singapore that are now in the Mus©♭um national d⁰́₉Histoire naturelle in Paris. Looking to the future, the book documents the collaborations between France and Singapore as both countries continue to build on this rich heritage in the study of natural history.
