Abstract
Set in the bull-fighting Patani Malay community of Southern Thailand, this is about a man, Mamat, who vows to take revenge for his brother whom an ungracious loser in the arena kills.His wife, Minah, fails to stop this cycle of vengeance, which affects the younger generation of the family with disastrous consequences.
