Abstract
In ancient China, a poor and humble family, the Foo family, runs an old run down teahouse. Everyone works hard to to keep the teahouse running and the little son, Tao Shu needs to take on more responsibility than the average boy his age. Whether he is out in the beautiful mountains or in town buying supplies, he always takes along his strange pet toad. Through a series of adventures and stories, Tao Shu and his sister, Ling Ling learn meaningful lessons in life. The 5 episodes in this DVD explores the theme of family love. In episode 1, Tao Shu learns how not to get angry with his little sister. In episode two, a big flood forces the family to flee their home, but Ling Ling slips away to rescue Pan Pan the panda. Tao Shu has to find his little sister before it is too late. In episode 3, when Tao Shu loses his precious new toy, his search for it puts Pan Pan in danger and this becomes a lesson in priorities. In episode 4, Tao Shu starts flute lessons and much to his annoyance, Ling Ling copies everything he does. He realises later that this is because she loves him. In episode 5, Ling Ling has trouble falling asleep so big brother, Tao Shu tells her a lovely fairy tale to help her fall asleep.
