Abstract
New season of Art Nation which celebrates the arts, the artists and their works in Singapore. This episode profiles Kit Chan, singer and her latest project, acting as the Empress Dowager Tzu Hsi in the stage musical 'Forbidden City ; Portrait of an Empress' produced by the Esplanade and Singapore Repertory Theatre. Also features a group of four young and hip designers, Patrick Tan, Jon Mah, Marc Lim and Eddie Lin, graphic fashion artists behind Fourskin. Next we get a sneak preview of the opening festival of the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay and WOMAD 2002. Since the first festival in England, WOMAD has grown and evolved into a global appreciation of music.
