Abstract
Sworn brothers and lifelong friends Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat are forced apart after the Sultan sentences Hang Tuah to death. Jebat avenges his friend by infiltrating the Sultan's palace and replacing Tuah as the ruler's Laksamana, gaining possession of Tuah's coveted Taming Sari kris in the process. During his reign, Jebat wreaks havoc in the palace, defying the Sultan as an act of vengeance for his wronged brother. In a surprise turn of events, the Bendahara reveals to the Sultan that he has hidden Tuah in the Malaccan caves, and the Sultan calls for his return to restore order to the palace. This culminates in a brother-to-brother duel as Tuah fights for the aristocracy's honour and Jebat fights for Tuah's.
