This is the façade of Ang Mo Kio North Primary School at the corner of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6. The primary school was opened in 1981. In December 1981, it moved to Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9. The school was declared open by Mr. Lau Ping Sum, Member of Parliament for Yio Chu Kang, on 15 September 1983. The School Advisory Committee was formed in 1982 and headed by Dr. Quek Meng Poo. On 3 January 2000, it merged with Hong Dao Primary School and Li Hua Primary School to form Anderson Primary School and operating at 19, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 (since Feb 2000).
