This picture depicts the façade of a row of double-storey shophouses along Blair Road in Tanjong Pagar. At the far background – multi-storey residential block at Blair Plain estate (later demolished). Blair Road which was laid in 1900, was named after Mr. John Blair, a senior officer with the Tanjong Pagar Dock Company in the 1880s. Title devised by Library staff.
