This is a half-length portrait of Lieutenant Colonel Yeo Cheng Ann, Commanding Officer of the 2nd Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment or 2 SIR, who served from 1986 to1987. He was Commander of the 2nd Singapore Infantry Brigade or 2 SIB (Jun 1991-Jul 1992); the second SAF officer to hold a key appointment in a United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission as Chief of Staff in the UNIKOM headquarters in Iraq (Oct 1993-Oct 1994); and later Director of Vehicle and Transit Licensing at the Land Transport Authority (1999-2001). He was promoted from the rank of Major to LTC in 1984. He was also awarded the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Service Medal (Non-Operational) in 1995. Title devised by Library staff.
