This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Mansoor bin Abdul Jalil, the first Malay Muslim Singaporean to obtain first-class Honours Degree in Physics from Magdalen College, University of Cambridge in 1993. Later, he became Board Member of Singapore Science Centre (since 2005); Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at National University of Singapore; and, an external assessor for Netherlands Research Council (since 2007) and Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore (since 2006). He won the Singapore Youth Award for Science and Technology and Young Researcher Award in 2003 and 2009, respectively. Title devised by Library staff.
