View of the three-storey classroom block of Anglo-Chinese School at Coleman Street. Bishop Raymond L. Archer laid the foundation stone on 13 August 1956. The school was declared open by Mr. Lim Yew Hock, Chief Minister, on 1 March 1959. Located in the premises were: a day school, a boarding school, chapel and residence for missionaries. Pupils attend classes in the morning, and in the afternoon, it was home to Oldham Methodist School (later Anglo-Chinese Secondary School) and Oldham Methodist Boys' Afternoon School. In January 1994, the primary school was relocated to Barker Road campus. Together with the secondary school, they formed ACS (Barker Road), a full government-aided school. The old premises at Coleman Street became home to National Archives.
