Information About

This 1993 photograph shows Circular Road (from North Canal Road corner). Rows of shophouses line both sides of the street. Several parked vehicles including vans and cars, can be seen on either side of the road. One of the shops, Joo Seng Electric Co (裕成電器公司) at the corner of the intersection between Circular Road and North Canal Road can be seen in the picture. The Expressionist style shophouse designed by Ho Kwong Yew, one of Singapore's well-known architects, can also be seen in the background. Title devised by Library staff.
