The 168 Western Food located at Blk 168, Bedok South Avenue 3 coffee shop serves delicious old schooled western food that many locals will remember as one of their comfort neighhourhood meals with friends after school ends for the day! Only known to residents living nearby, this was introduced to me by my husband after moving to Bedok and has become one of the places to visit for an affordable local western breakfast or lunch on a lazy weekend. They sell the old schooled chicken cutlet, chicken chop, fried chicken, fried chicken wings or pork chop served with french fries, salad lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes and garlic bread. My favourites are their pork chop, chicken cutlet or fried chicken wings. If you visit them, pay attention to their heavy white porcelain plates and heavy metal cutlery which used to be common sight with local western food stalls but seldom seen nowadays. -- Contributed by My Lee, as part of the "Singapore Makan" Contemporary Collecting initiative.
