This is a façade of the four-storey First Toa Payoh Primary School (大智小學) at Lorong 1 Toa Payoh. The school was established in 1968. In January 2002, it merged with Braddell Primary School, San Shan Primary School and Westlake Primary School to form the new First Toa Payoh Primary School, and operating at 7, Lorong 8 Toa Payoh. Past principals of First Toa Payoh Primary School include Ms Pang Ong Choo (Dec 1998-2000); Miss Rosalind Chia Peck Lan (Dec 2001-2008); and Miss Pearly Ng Por Joo (黄宝如, Dec 2008-to date). Past principals of Braddell Primary School include Mr. Joseph Francis (1978-1981); Mrs. Penny Chia (1985-1986); Mr. Chew Sang Cheng (1994); and Madam Lim Ngern Boey (2000-Dec 2001).
