This is an aerial view of Tanjong Pagar Container Terminal of Port of Singapore Authority at East Lagoon. On the bottom, two ships are docked at East Wharf. On the opposite end, a container ship berth along berth 49 and 49. The construction of the container terminal began in February 1969. By November 1971, the first main berth (Berth 49) was completed. The terminal received its first vessel, M.S. Nihon, on 23 June 1972. Title devised by Library staff.
