This 1994 photograph shows Chay Yan Street, towards Yong Siak Street and Peng Nguan Street. Both sides of the street are lined with low-rise buildings with spiral staircases. Chay Yan Street was named after Tan Chay Ann, co-founder of Sembawang Rubber Plantations Ltd. Title devised by Library staff.
