This photograph shows an aerial view of the Fort Canning Tunnel (FCT) construction and the revamp of the National Museum. The tunnel entrance and the surrounding area on the left was on land that once housed the old National Library building. The National Museum, with its distinctive rotunda, was closed in 2003 for restoration works and the construction of the new annexe behind the main museum building. Stamford Road runs in front of the museum and turns to Fort Canning Road on the left. Wesley Methodist Church, with its unique spire, is partially visible behind the new museum building.
