This is a head and shoulders portrait of Mr. Haji Ahmad Hassan, Chairman of Darul Ghufran Mosque in 1991. Darul Ghufran Mosque, located at 503, Tampines Avenue 5, was officially opened by Mr. Haji Othman Harun Eusofe on 12 July 1991. The mosque is the second largest in Singapore, and can accommodate 4000 people. It received the "Honourable Mention" from the 3rd Singapore Institute of Architects' Architectural design award in 1991. The mosque is also known as "Menara Biru" (Blue Minaret) among the residents in Tampines. It was closed for renovation, and reopened in 1999. Title devised by Library staff.
