15-storey Shell House (later Singapore Rubber House, now demolished) towering over the first overhead pedestrian bridge in Singapore along Collyer Quay. It was installed and officially declared open by Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Mr. Fong Sip Chee on 2 May 1964. Title devised by Library staff.
