This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Syed Abdullah bin Haroon Aljunied, President of Al-Wehdah Al-Arabiah Bi-Singhafurah (Persatuan Arab Singapura) or The Arab Association of Singapore in 1984-1997. He was Council Member of MUIS (1988-2003); and Member of the Management Committee of Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah (1987-1989). His family are descendents of one of the first Arabs to come to the island after Raffles founded modern Singapore - Mr. Syed Mohammed Harun Aljunied and his nephew, Mr. Syed Omar Ali Aljunied.
