Some of the 350 final contestants of National Healthy Baby Contest held in March 1974 to create awareness on the importance of childcare, and to support the campaign to keep the number of Singapore babies at two per couple. Chinese daily Sin Chew Jit Poh, Sim Lim Finance, and People's Park Department Store sponsored the event. Mrs. Jek Yeun Thong, wife of the Minister for Culture, presented prizes and certificates to the winners of the National Healthy Baby contest. Title devised by Library staff.
