This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Reverend Dr. Devasahayam David Chelliah, the founder and Council Member of Inter-Religious Organisation from March 1949 to April 1979. He was a teacher and Acting Principal at St. Andrew's School (1941-1949); Acting Dean (1943-1945) and later Assistant Chaplain of St. Andrew's Cathedral (1946); the first Asian Archdeacon of Singapore (Jan 1958-1966); and Chairman of Board of Management of Anglican High School (1960).
