Information About

This is an elevated view of the H-shaped Anglo-Chinese School at Barker Road, off Dunearn Road. Behind the school stood a mansion known as Oldham Hall (left), a boarding house for students. The mansion was demolished to make way for the Quadrangle and tuckshop in 1959. Facing the semi-circular driveway is the clock tower with a front porch portico (right). The school was declared open by Sir Franklin Gimson, Governor of Singapore, on 29 September 1950. Title devised by Library staff.
