A sketch of the Japanese shinto temple shrine (Syonan Shinto Shrine) built by British prisoners-of-war and the Japanese Army, off Adam Road and within MacRitchie Reservoir. It was officially unveiled on 10 September 1942, but demolished immediately after the Japanese surrender in 1945. In September 2002, National Heritage Board marked the location of the lost shrine as a historic site.
