This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Madam Song Kiew Ying, a Chinese nurse and mother of Mr. Bernard Ming-Deh Harrison, former Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Zoological Gardens. Born in China but raised in Ipoh, Malaya, the religious Madam Song was a deaconess of the Jehovah True God Church. She was married to Dr. John Leonard Harrison (1917-1972), a British Professor of Zoology. Title devised by Library staff.
