This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Associate Professor Karunanithy son of Ramasamy, President of Sri Ruthra Kaliamman Temple at 100, Depot Road (1992-2008). He was Lecturer of Department of Pharmacy at University of Singapore and later National University of Singapore (1963-1998); Chairman of SANA Hindu Aftercare Counselling Service (1988); and Member of Hindu Endowments Board, Hindu Advisory Board and Board of Visitors (Drug Rehabilitation Centres and Anti-Inhalant Abuse Centres) (2004). He was awarded the Meritorious Long Service Award by NUS in 1996 and the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2004. TItle devised by Library staff.
