This is a close-up of a flower which has a single large bluish petal and two smaller ones within its fold. The flower is commonly known as Pigeon Wings or Blue Pea. Its scientific name is Clitoria ternatea. In Malay, it is Bunga Telang, Bunga Biru, or Kachang Telang. The flower is used as a dye in nonya cakes. Title devised by Library staff.
