This 1984 photograph depicts shophouses at Tembeling Road (south side, towards Joo Chiat Road). The two-storey shophouses feature a façade decorated with pilasters, cornices and plaster mouldings, with windows covered with timber louvred shutters, all topped with transoms. On the roof of the corner shophouse unit is a large bas relief panel. Title devised by Library staff.
