This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Dr. Kiang Ai Kim, Dean of Faculty of Science at University of Singapore from 1968 to 1971. He was a student at Raffles Institution (1931-1934); a graduate of Raffles College (1938); demonstrator in chemistry (1938) and later Professor and Head of Department of Chemistry (1960-1966) at University of Singapore; Master of Raffles Hall (1959-1960); Council Member of University of Singapore; Member of Board of Directors of Singapore Chinese YMCA (1971-1972); Technical Consultant of Sime Darby Holdings (1973-1974); and Chairman of Department of Chemistry at the Nanyang University and National University of Singapore (1975-1980). He was conferred the Fellowship and Silver Jubilee award by the Malayan Scientific Association in 1972 and 1980 respectively. He was also awarded the Public Service Medal in 1987.
