Information About

Old Famosa Gate in Malacca built by the Portuguese in 1511. The entire fortress was demolished except for the gate when Malacca ceded to the United Kingdom in early 19th century. On the right is old Fort Terrace (red building), and the cream-coloured building behind the old Malacca gate are the old flats belonging to Dunlop Malayan Estates.
