This photograph shows a lady participating in the Peranakan hairstyling demonstration during the "Living Traditions - Celebrating the Peranakan Lifestyle" seminar held at the RELC auditorium on 20 November 1999. The lady is wearing a green kebaya top and a batik sarong. She has her hair arranged in buns behind her ears, and around each bun is a flower garland. A man is seen giving the flower garland on the right bun the final touch. The seminar is held in conjunction with the 12th Baba Convention held in Singapore from 19 to 21 November 1999.
