This is a photograph of rioters storming the City Hall demanding the release of left-wing extremists who were arrested during "Operation Cold Store" on 2 February 1963. One of the placards read, "Return our sons and daughters" in Chinese. The clash led to the arrest of eight Barisan Sosialis members. Title devised by Library staff.
