This is a close-up of Mr. Rajabali Jumabhoy, patriarch of the four generations of Jumabhoy family businesses that at one time owned Scotts Holdings. He was founding member of Singapore Anti-Tuberculosis Association or SATA (1947); Unofficial Member of Singapore Advisory Council (1946-1947); Member of Singapore Municipal Commission (1939-1942, 1946-1948) and Singapore Legislative Council representing Indian Chamber of Commerce (1948-1955); President of Indian Merchants' Association (1930-1935) and Indian Chamber of Commerce (1935-1936, 1940-1942, 1945-1950); Patron of Singapore Recreation Club (1983); and the first Indian nominated as Member of Executive Council (in place of Lim Han Hoe) in December 1951.
