This is a portrait of Mrs Mavis Oei nee Khoo Bee Geok seating with her hands resting on her knee. She began her career in Goodwood Park Hotel as a management trainee (1965) and rose to become General Manager in 1978. Mrs Oei is the daughter of banker and hotelier Tan Sri Khoo Teck Puat, formerly the wealthiest man in Singapore. She married Mr. Oei Ing Tjien, a prominent Singapore businessman, in 1966. Mrs Oei is currently the chairman of Goodwood Park Hotel. Title devised by Library staff.
