This photograph shows a billboard truck advertising a Russian film for the King's Theatre in Tiong Bahru. The promotion is done in English and Chinese. The billboard is produced by the Gay Yau Studio and features the cast of the earliest screened Russian film, "Romeo & Juliet' . The truck is placed near the steps to the entrance of the theatre. On a wall of the King's Theatre is also seen an advertisement for a Chinese film. The King's Theatre's opened on 24 May 1955, with air-conditioned halls, cinemascope facilities, a restaurant and bar, and side shops. It closed on 31 December 1982. No date of creation estimated.
