Head and shoulders portrait of Dr. Robert Loh Choo Kiat, President of the YMCA of Singapore from 1970 to 1992. He was Senior Ophthalmologist (eye specialist) at the Singapore General Hospital (1959-1969); Honorary Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Ministry of Health (1969-1995); President of the Singapore Medical Association (1964-1965); the founding President of the Ophthalmological Society of Singapore (1963-1976); Master of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore (1975-1978); President of the Rotary Club of Singapore (1976-1977) and the National Council of Social Service (1992-2002); and Governor of District 3310 of the Rotary Club (1991-1992). He was made a Justice Peace in 1989, and conferred the Public Service Star, Public Service Star (Bar), and Meritorious Service Medal in 1991, 1996, and 2002 respectively in recognition of his contributions and service to the public.
