This 1988 photograph shows house no.125 on Emerald Hill Road, located off Orchard Road. The house has art deco characteristics such as the cross-braced window panels found on the first storey, and the clean lines of the columns and balustrade on the second storey. Rather in contrast to the overall art deco style is the decorative panel of wall tiles beneath the first-storey windows. A loggia (open-sided, balustraded terrace, usually on upper floors) on the second storey overlooks the street on Emerald Hill Road. Title devised by Library staff.
