This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Ms. Leong Wai Leng, Deputy Chief Executive for Finance and Investments (May 2001-Mac 2003) and later Deputy CEO of Raffles Holdings Limited (Apr 2003-Oct 2005). Awarded the Overseas Merit Scholarship in 1975, she joined the Civil Service in the Ministry of Communications and later moved to Trade and Industry as Director (Industry). She was Deputy Chief Executive of the Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (1990-Jul 1993); Executive Director of the National Science and Technology Board (Jan-Jul 1993); Assistant to Chairman of RSP Architects, Planners and Engineers (Aug 1993); Deputy CEO and Deputy Managing Director of L&M Group Investments (1995-1996); Executive Vice-President (Corporate Development) of NatSteel Electronics Limited (1997-Jan 2001); Executive Director and later CEO of Raffles International Limited (Oct 2004-2005); Senior Managing Director, Corporate Development and the first Chief Financial Officer of Temasek Holdings (Mar 2006-to date).
