This is a 1982 photograph showing Kanisha Marican Road with double-storey shophouses, towards Mohamed Sultan Road. No longer found in the present day street directory, Kanisha Marican Road was named after S. Kanisah Maricayar, an Indian landowner, and was located in the River Valley area.
