This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Dr. Nalla Tan nee Navarednam, Principal of Eusoff College, a hostel for female students of National University of Singapore at 26, Evans Road, from 1967 to 1971. She was Lecturer and Associate Professor at Department of Social Medicine and Public Health in University of Singapore (1966-1986); Member of Bukit Panjang Citizens' Consultative Committee; and Vice-President of Consumer Association of Singapore (1984). She was awarded the Friends of Labour Award by NTUC in 1984. Her husband, Dr. Tan Joo Liang, is a general practitioner. Title devised by Library staff.
