This is a night view of the water fountain in front of the National Theatre or Panggong Negara in King George V Park (later Fort Canning Park) near River Valley Road. The theatre was designed by local architect, Mr. Alfred Wong Hong Kwok, and was officially opened by Mr. Yusof Ishak, Yang di-Pertuan Negara or Head of State, on 8 August 1963. It was closed down on 16 January 1984, and demolished in 1986. Title devised by Library staff.
