This 1966 photograph shows the main entrance to the house of Tan Yeok Nee, which is located at the corner of Penang Road and Clemenceau Avenue. The mansion was once home to a wealthy Chaozhou-born businessman Tan Yeok Nee, who built it in 1885, and is typical of Teochew-style residential buildings. Title devised by Library staff.
