This photograph shows the back view of two men offering their prayers on a pavement along Serangoon Road during the Hungry Ghost Festival. In front of them is a large drum containing burning paper offerings. Behind them are two tables full of offerings such as instant noodles, cooking oil, a roasted suckling pig, soft drinks, liquor, candles and joss sticks, among others. There is a row of two-storey shophouses with businesses occupying the ground floor across the road. A partial view of a housing flat can be seen in the background. Title devised by Library staff.
